| Hapis International Global Nigeria Limited The constant communal problem between Oil Producing Companies, Oil Service Contractors and their host community emanates basically from lack of communication between the parties and stakeholders. As a company, that has worked in various locations in the Long Beach CA and in the Nigeria, and whose ownership is also indigenous to the Niger Delta, we are very familiar with these problems. From our own experience, we know that any disruption in the programmed activit4ies of production escalates the cost of production; therefore whatever may bring about any disruption must be seriously and comprehensively addressed. Hence our Corporate Community Relations Policy is implemented. These bye-laws or policy guidelines are not restrictive to the later as we are dynamic in approach since we are part of the community itself. Nevertheless, we have a Community Relation Unit within our company to attend to these matters. These contact persons within the community must be the respected elders and youths of the community so as to avoid the polarization of the community. |
